Find a time everyone can make

How it works

1. Open Availability Scheduler in a Room and share the Room link with everyone who needs to answer.
2. As the host, set the dates, the Start and End hours for those days, and the slot length, then create the grid. Times are entered on your own clock and are shown to everybody else in theirs.
3. Ask each person to paint the blocks they can attend and submit. Unmarked means unavailable, so nobody has to select the times they cannot make.
4. Read the combined heatmap and the top candidate times, then choose the final slot and copy it to share.

Why use it in a Free4Chat Room

Use it when arranging anything across a group whose calendars you cannot see: a team meeting, a call with people in other countries, a workshop, a class, a family get-together. The Room link is the whole invitation, so there is no poll to create elsewhere and no account for anyone to sign up for. Room voice and chat sit beside the grid, which means the negotiation happens while the availability is on screen rather than in a separate thread.

Limits & privacy

Each browser automatically shows the times in its own time zone, so a host who sets up a window in the morning does not force everybody else to convert anything by hand. Nothing here connects to a calendar. There is no Google or Outlook integration, no email invitation, no reminder, no confirmation, and no persistent scheduling account, and the grid is temporary Room state that is gone once the Room ends.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a When2Meet alternative?

It covers the same core job in the same shape: one person defines the candidate times, everyone paints the blocks they can attend, and the group sees where the overlap is. The differences are that it runs inside a temporary Free4Chat Room rather than on a separate scheduling site, so the voice and chat conversation stays beside the grid, and that each participant's browser renders the times in that person's own time zone automatically.

Do participants have to convert time zones themselves?

No. The host sets the window on the host's own clock, and those wall times name fixed instants. Every other browser displays those same instants in its own local time, so one participant can see 09:00 and another 10:00 for the identical slot. Nobody picks a time zone and nobody changes an operating-system setting.

What does an unmarked block mean?

Unavailable. Availability is binary: a marked block means you can attend and an unmarked block means you cannot. There is no Maybe and no separate Unavailable state, so you never have to click through the times you cannot make.

Who can choose the final time?

The host. Everyone sees the heatmap and the candidate times, and the host's browser additionally gets a Choose this time control. Once a time is chosen it is shown to the Room as a chosen time with a Copy chosen time button beside it.

Does it connect to Google Calendar or Outlook?

No. There is no calendar connection of any kind, no free/busy lookup, no ICS or calendar file, no email invitation and no reminder. The grid only knows what the people in the Room have marked.

Is the schedule saved after the Room ends?

No. The grid, everyone's answers and the chosen time are temporary Room state. Nothing is stored on a server, and there is no scheduling account or history to return to.
