Run a live buzzer round in your Room

Quiz Buzzer turns a Room into a simple live buzzer. The host arms a round, everyone in the Room gets one large buzzer, and the buzzes appear to the host in the order they arrived. It is built for reading a question out loud, letting people buzz in, and moving straight on to the next round.

How it works

  1. Open Quiz Buzzer in a Free4Chat Room and read your question out loud.
  2. The host arms the round, and each person taps the buzzer once.
  3. The host reads the arrival order, then resets for the next round.

What you can do

Why use it in a Free4Chat Room

It runs inside the Room you are already in, so there is no separate lobby, no registration and nothing to install. Everyone is already present under a name the Room knows, which is what makes “who buzzed first” a one-tap answer instead of a manual count. Voice and chat stay open while the round runs, and the host arms the next round whenever the group is ready.

Limits & privacy

The order shown is host-observed message arrival order: the host's browser lists buzzes in the order it received them, and participant clocks are never compared. It is not synchronized physical button timing and makes no millisecond-fairness claim, so on a slow connection a buzz can arrive later than it was pressed. There are no questions, no correct answers, no scoring and no leaderboard, and nothing is saved — the round disappears when the temporary Room ends.

Frequently asked questions

Who controls the buzzer round?

The host arms the round and resets it. Everyone else in the Room gets the buzzer and can buzz once per round.

Is the buzz order exact?

It is the order the host's browser received the buzzes. Participant clocks are never compared, so it is not synchronized physical button timing and we make no millisecond-fairness claim.

Can someone buzz twice?

No. Each person can buzz once per round, and further taps in the same round are ignored, so a repeated tap cannot change the order.

Does it keep score?

No. There are no questions, correct answers, points or leaderboard. It only shows the observed order of buzzes for the current round.

Do I need an account?

No account or signup is required. Everyone joins with the Room link they already have.
