Chess here is a two-player game inside a temporary Free4Chat Room. One player makes the first move and claims White; the reply claims Black. Anyone else in the Room watches the same board, from White's side. Every move is checked against the real rules of chess, so an illegal move is not something you can make by accident.

How it works
- Open Chess in a Room with a second person, and share the Room link with them.
- Tap one of your pieces and then a highlighted square. The first move claims White, and the reply claims Black.
- Play on until checkmate, a draw or a resignation, then start the next game with Rematch or New game.
What you can do
- Play a complete legal game: castling, en passant, promotion, check, checkmate, stalemate and the draw rules all work.
- See the board from your own side. Black gets the flipped view, while anyone watching keeps the standard White orientation.
- Follow the move list as a paired record, and copy the finished game as PGN text to paste into an analysis tool later.
- Resign a lost position, or start a fresh game against the same opponent with Rematch or New game.
- Play by tapping on a phone or tablet, with a promotion picker for pawns that reach the last rank.

Limits & privacy
Nothing is stored anywhere: the board and the move list live only as long as the Room, and closing it ends the game. There is no matchmaking, no rating, no engine analysis, no hint button and no computer opponent, because this is chess between the people in the Room rather than a chess server. There is also no clock, so a game runs until checkmate, a rules-based draw, a resignation or the Room closes.

How many people can play at once?
Two Humans play, one as White and one as Black. Anyone else in the Room watches the same board and sees the moves as they happen.
Is the game saved after we finish?
No. The board and the move list last only while the Room is open, so copy the PGN before the Room closes if you want to keep the game.
