Write shared meeting notes together while you meet

Collaborative Meeting Notes is the meeting-notes way to use Shared Pad. One person opens the pad in the Room, everyone types into the same Markdown page, and the notes are written by the group as the meeting happens instead of by one person afterwards.

How it works

  1. Open Shared Pad in the Room and start the notes before the discussion begins.
  2. Let everyone type into the same Markdown page and format it as you go.
  3. Preview the notes, then copy them out before the temporary Room ends.

What you can do

Why use it in a Free4Chat Room

Meeting notes are often the reason a Room is still open after the call, and the pad already sits in that Room beside the voice and chat. Nobody has to switch to a document app, ask for edit access, or be sent a link to a file, because the Room link is the whole invitation.

Limits & privacy

These are working notes, not a document workspace. The pad is temporary and is not saved permanently: there is no version history, no comments, no owner and no permissions model, and it holds one bounded Markdown document. It also does not assign action items or track owners and due dates. Use Copy all to take the notes out from inside the sandboxed Room view; the .md download is available outside that sandboxed view.

Frequently asked questions

Are the meeting notes saved after the Room ends?

No. The pad is temporary Room state with no permanent storage, so copy the notes out before everyone leaves.

Can we download the notes as a file?

Copy all works inside the sandboxed Room view. A .md or .txt download is available when the pad is opened outside that sandboxed view, because the Room's sandbox can block file downloads.

Does it track action items or owners?

No. The pad is a shared Markdown document for the notes themselves; it has no task assignment, owners, or due dates.
