Plan a group trip together, day by day
Trip Planner is a shared day-by-day itinerary that everyone in the Room can edit at the same time. Set the dates to build the days, then add what the group is considering: a name, an optional time, an optional link and an optional map pin. Changes appear for everyone as they happen, so the plan itself becomes the conversation.

How it works
- Open Trip Planner in a Room and give the trip a title, a start date and an end date.
- Build the days from that range, then add items to a day. Only the name is required; time, link and coordinates are optional.
- Everyone edits the same itinerary, marks items as candidate or selected, and optionally drops pins on the map.
What you can do
- Edit one shared itinerary live with everyone in the Room, and see who else is present.
- Add, edit, remove and reorder items, and move them between days with a drag or the Move to control on touch.
- Mark each idea as a candidate or as selected, and like the items you agree with.
- Paste a latitude and longitude pair or a full map URL to place an item on the map, while items without coordinates keep working exactly the same.
- Use it on a phone: the day cards, the item controls and the map panel adapt to a narrow screen.
Why use it in a Free4Chat Room
It is built for the part where a group is still deciding, not for the booking that follows. Keep ideas as candidates and mark the ones you commit to as selected, drag an item into another day, or use Move to on a phone. The itinerary sits next to the Room's voice and chat, so the argument about which museum deserves a morning happens in the same place as the plan.
Limits & privacy
The plan is temporary. It lives only while the Room is open: there is no account, no server copy and no history, and closing the Room removes it. There is also no export today, so no PDF, no calendar file and no permanent shareable link, and anything worth keeping should be copied out before the Room closes. An item without coordinates is a normal item, and the map is only an optional extra on top.
Frequently asked questions
Is the itinerary saved after the Room closes?
No. The plan is temporary and is not stored on a server. Closing the Room removes it, and there is no account or history to come back to.
Can I export the trip to a PDF or a calendar file?
Not today. There is no export, download or calendar sync, so copy out anything you want to keep before the Room closes.
Do I need coordinates for every item?
No. An item without coordinates is a first-class item and behaves like any other. The map panel only appears once at least one item has a pin.
Does it look up addresses or search for places?
No. There is no geocoder and no place search: paste coordinates or a full map URL from your own maps app, and the parsing happens locally in your browser.
Do we need accounts to plan together?
No. There is no signup and no invite beyond the Room link you already have, and everyone in the Room can edit the same plan.
How large can the trip be?
Up to 14 days and 200 items, which is deliberately bounded because the plan is a temporary Room artifact rather than a travel database.
