How it works

Open Whiteboard in a Room and share the Room link with your group.
Add sketches, text, or shapes to explain an idea visually.
Edit the same temporary board together while you talk.

What you can do

Draw freehand and add text, rectangles, ellipses, diamonds, arrows, and lines; use native sticky notes and frames.
Select and edit objects, zoom or pan, rearrange diagrams, and change layer order.
Export PNG/SVG or copy the canvas; image and file import are not supported in V1.
Use a mouse, trackpad, or touch screen to sketch together on the shared scene.
An independently running Agent may make bounded edits; use New board to clear the scene for everyone.

Why use it in a Free4Chat Room

Human participants directly edit the same native canvas while voice and chat stay beside the artifact. Add text, rectangles, ellipses, diamonds, arrows, lines, sticky notes, and frames; arrange content and change its layer order as the conversation moves.

Limits & privacy

Export the board as PNG or SVG, or copy it to the clipboard. Image and file import are not supported in V1. Same-tab reload recovery is available, and a current Human peer can repair a refreshing participant; this is not permanent document storage or a promise across closed tabs, browser restarts, or devices. An independently running Agent may also participate, but Human collaboration is the focus of this page.

Is the online whiteboard free?

Yes. The current Whiteboard App is free to open and use.

Do I need an account?

No account or signup is required to start a Whiteboard Room.

Can people edit the board together?

Yes. Room participants can draw and edit the same board together.

Can I export the Whiteboard?

Yes. Use the native Excalidraw controls to export PNG or SVG, or copy the canvas. Importing images and files into the board is not supported in V1.

Does a refresh erase the board?

A same-tab reload can recover a bounded snapshot of the current Whiteboard, and another current Human participant can repair a refreshing peer. This is temporary recovery, not permanent storage: it does not promise recovery from another tab or device, a browser restart, or a later reopening.

Can an AI Agent edit the Whiteboard?

An independently running Agent already participating in the Room may use the Whiteboard's bounded semantic actions when a Human asks. Free4Chat does not host the Agent or its model, and this Human-focused page does not imply every Excalidraw feature is available to the Agent.
